Pregnant women and people with sensitive skin – If you’re pregnant, have sensitive skin, or like to steer clear of chemicals and additives, chemical-laden waxing solutions may not hold much appeal. But sugar waxing is a totally natural alternative, containing only a solution of sugar, lemon and water.

If you are transitioning from shaving, please allow the hairs to grow approximately 5mm long as the shaved hair is always thicker and stronger and therefore fills up the whole follicle. Due to this, the sugar has to grab onto the length of the hair instead of the follicle.

If you have previously waxed, epilated or have natural growth, the hairs can be as short as 2.5-3mm.

On the day of your appointment make sure to avoid applying moisturisers to the area after showering. You can also gently exfoliate as this will prepare the skin for the treatment and provide you wit even better results.

Avoid tanning and sun baking, swimming and sweaty workouts for 48hrs. Refrain from using fragrances, harsh chemicals or exfoliating for 3 days. After showering moisturise the area with a gentle moisturiser daily and exfoliate weekly. The area may be slightly pink after the treatment, this is normal and usually disappears within a few hours.
